Go Back The Thanksgiving Play by Larissa FastHorse

The Thanksgiving Play follows a group of four white theatre artists attempting to devise a culturally sensitive Thanksgiving pageant for Native American Heritage Month. Do they know anything about Native American culture or history? Not a bit. As the characters grapple with issues of political correctness, privilege, and representation, the production exposes the pitfalls of performative activism with humor and biting wit.

Directed by SET member Kate Hertz, this riotous satire by Native American playwright Larissa Fasthorse is a comedy that both entertains and provokes important questions about how we tell stories—and who gets to tell them.
